About Us

Healing with Hooves uses the methods of AAA (Animal Assisted Activities) and AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy) to bring mental and physical healing to children and adults of all ages with all different types of abilities.

The animal/human bond plays an integral part in improving a person’s social, emotional and cognitive functions. This connection is proven to help empower people, comfort them, strengthen and raise their self esteem, having a positive outcome and overall improvement to their well being and quality of life.

Our purpose is to aid in that process, serving our community and enhancing the lives of all that may need us.

Healing With Hooves is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity.

Like the saying “It takes a village…” Our program relies mainly on donations from generous individuals, like yourself. We offer our services to those that need us free of charge, despite the cost that go into providing those services. Every little bit helps us and goes directly back into our program, allowing for us to grow and continue to be there for those in need.

Helping animals has always been a passion for Brianne Hawks. After the tragic loss of her mother, Brianne devoted herself to making an impact on those suffering from both physical and mental loss. She was able to bring her lifelong love of animals and her dedication to helping others together through Healing with Hooves. She found that therapy with mini horses not only made a huge difference in the lives of those she worked with but helped in her own healing process. Truly, Healing With Hooves.

Aimee Ziller is a talented and incredibly knowledgeable horsewoman who has a breeding programs of the most beautifully majestic Friesian and Friesian cross horses. Aimee has been an active member of the Friesian community and is a licensed Technical Delegate with USA Working Equitation. We are very lucky to have her support our program.

R.B. Hopkins is an avid outdoorsman and horseman with a truly special gift in how he is able to connect with horses. His favorite thing to do is explore new terrain and adventures with his horse Poker. He is a trusted and invaluable addition to the team.

A.J. Fresquez is an animal lover, and has a history of working with horses in the equestrian community. He uses his knowledge of social media to help promote Healing With Hooves Therapy.
